School Vehicle Operator- Job Description

Distinguishing Features of the Class: This is work involving the use of motor equipment in transporting food, school equipment, and supplies in a school system. The work is performed under general supervision in accordance with established procedures. May be called upon to perform snow plowing, snow removal, and salting of walks and parking lots. Typical Work Activities:

Job Description

This is routine work in preparing and serving food and in cleaning of kitchen equipment. The incumbent is expected to perform all duties needed in the support of a food service program. Job Description

This work involves the responsibility for the performance of routine cleaning duties in public and municipal buildings and facilities. Multi-Tier Systems of Support MTSS Coordinator

Funding Source: Title I Grant

Objective: To support full implementation of RTI/MTSS systems at the secondary level and support elementary building leadership with RTI/MTSS systems.

Reports To: Assistant Superintendent for Instruction & Budget

Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate secondary-level RTI/MTSS processes and functions.
• Coordinate district-wide social-emotional learning and school climate improvement programs.
• Serve as point person for annual school climate surveys, data collection, and actionable next steps with building leadership teams.
• Provide best practices and current research to elementary-level building MTSS/RTI teams.
• Research and identify appropriate curriculum-based and social-emotional measurement tools to provide frequent progress monitoring of ELA, Math, and SEL student progress.
• Support a culture of reflective practice around research-based intervention utilization in Tiers I, II, and III and deliver ongoing staff development to support staff in implementation fidelity.
• Provide technical assistance with building-based RTI/MTSS team meetings.
• Serve as district point person for RTI Edge platform and assist building leadership teams, with BOCES support, to troubleshoot issues and concerns.
• Assist and support teachers in identifying best practices in key grade-level transitions across buildings including Preschool to Kindergarten, Grades 5 to 6, and Grades 8 to 9.
• Monitor secondary-level RTI/MTSS building leadership teams (i.e., attend regular meetings, assist with analyzing student-level data, assist with intervention brainstorming, etc.).
• Make available resources to buildings with their RTI/MTSS team roles, responsibilities, and accountability.
• Maintain and update RTI/MTSS district handbooks.
• Serve as point person for MTSS District Leadership team and support building-level implementation and development.

Distinguishing Features of the Class: The School Safety Supervisor is responsible for supervising School Safety Monitors and providing safety and security of individuals and public property in and around the school buildings and school grounds. The duties require the exercise of considerable judgment in supervision and decision-making. The majority of the incumbent responsibilities will involve training and development of district-wide School Safety Monitors and consistent communication and collaboration with district administration regarding the district’s security needs and development of safety policies and procedures. Performs related work as required.

Typical Work Activities:

• Supervises subordinates engaged in providing security and protecting the safety of individuals and public property in school buildings and on school grounds;
• Determines staffing needs, interviews, recommends for hire, trains, assigns, and evaluates school safety staff;
• Collaborates with the Executive Director of HR and Operations to evaluate safety needs at each facility within the district and contributes to the development of safety policies and procedures;
• Works with the Executive Director of HR and Operations to ensure that all New York State-mandated reports are completed and disseminated with compliance; maintains certifications;
• Collaborates on the development and execution of drills and related school safety exercises;
• Researches developing technology and makes recommendations for improvements;
• Maintains records and composes long and/or complex reports requiring independent research;
• Preserves order and intervenes in critical situations and emergencies as warranted.

This position involves the performance of duties in assisting and in support of the instructional and educational process for children.
