Job Description

Applications are now being accepted for the following position in the Binghamton City School District for Summer 2026: Working conditions can be hot/humid, dusty, and steep banks.

Summer Grounds Laborers

Dates — July 1, 2026–August 31, 2026
Times – 7:00 am-3:30 pm
Hours – 40 hours per week

Will perform a wide range of duties, but primarily outdoor work, such as the following:

• Lawn mowing
• Lawn trimming
• Landscape weeding
• Tree and shrub trimming
• Exterior painting
• Mowing/weed whacking of bank areas
• Spreading of mulch

Job Qualifications

A valid driver's license is required. Applicant must meet Civil Service requirements. Preference will be given to current employees with prior summer labor experience. Fingerprint clearance required.
