Job Description

The Binghamton City School District is seeking candidates to fill the Senior Food Service Worker openings for the 2026–2027 school year. These are full-time 10-month positions, seven (7) hours a day, 200 days per year. 

The position involves the responsibility for ordering and serving food, ensuring that the kitchen equipment is clean, and keeping an accurate inventory. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Cook Manager or Assistant Cook Manager with leeway for independent judgment in carrying out work assignments. Leads and participates with Food Service Helpers to ensure that assignments are carried out properly.

Job Qualifications

Applicants must meet the civil service requirements

• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma
• Six months of full-time satisfactory experience in preparing and serving food
