Job Description

Applications are now being accepted for the following position in the Binghamton City School District for Summer 2025:

Summer Grounds Laborers

Dates:	July 1, 2025 – August 29, 2025
Times:	7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday

Job Description: Will perform a wide range of duties, but primarily outdoor work, such as the following:

• Lawn mowing
• Lawn trimming
• Landscape weeding
• Tree and shrub trimming
• Exterior painting
• Mowing/weed whacking of bank areas
• Spreading of mulch

A valid driver’s license is required. Applicant must meet civil service requirements. Preference will be given to current employees with previous experience as summer labor. 

 

***Working conditions can be hot/humid, dusty, and steep banks***
