The Binghamton City School District is seeking candidates to fill the anticipated Parent Educator position for the 2026–2027 school year.

This is a non-representative position, 220 days per contract. Parent Educators follow the same calendar as teachers, with an additional 20 workdays between July 1st and the start of the school year.

Typical Work Activities: Employees are expected to work effectively together to meet the needs of the community, families, and the Binghamton School District. Employees are expected to lead by example and demonstrate the highest level of ethics, value working with families with the youngest children, respect cultural diversity, and develop positive and healthy relationships with families.

Special Requirement: Complete training for PATS certification within 2 years of hire.

To be considered for this opening, applicants may be:

  • Currently on the Civil Service eligible list for the title, or
  • Currently appointed to the title, or
  •  Eligible to take the exam for the title when it becomes available.
Starting Base Salary $30,000
